The heart and soul of our organisation are its directors, Joe and Danielle, who bring a wealth of experience and passion to their roles. With nearly two decades of marriage and a vibrant family life, they truly understand the importance of balance in both education and personal growth.

A Family Foundation

Joe and Danielle have been happily married for 19 years (yes, they were just kids when they tied the knot!).

Their journey together has been filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They are proud parents to Noah, who has just embarked on his secondary school journey at Westcliff High School for Boys—a brilliant move for this young genius.

The family also shares their home with Marilla, a lively five-month-old Golden Retriever. Marilla is full of energy and has a knack for stealing shoes and chewing on anything fabric, proving that life with a puppy is never dull!

Joe: From Teaching to Photography

After leaving his full-time teaching career, Joe found a new passion in photography. Today, he’s not only a dedicated Maths tutor but also a highly regarded wedding photographer, known for his stylish and elegant work. Danielle: The Admin Wizard and Pilates Enthusiast

While Joe is busy behind the camera, Danielle keeps everything running smoothly at Birchwood Education. She manages all the administrative tasks—writing blog posts, newsletters, answering messages, and sending invoices, as well as tutoring maths. Her organisational skills ensure that our team operates efficiently, allowing us to focus on what we do best: supporting our students.

In addition to her administrative prowess, Danielle is a passionate Pilates instructor. Recently certified, she offers Pilates classes in her community every morning.
